Lake House

The location of this house - southern shore of Auckland's Lake Pupuke. Inspired by the surface of the lake,
long horizontal planes form a seriesof layers drawing the building together, while acting as a natural light control and entry point
to the whole house. The eaves detailing gives an inherant lightness to the structure above reminiscent of traditional Japanese design.
A Palette of natural materials is visually sympathetic to the bold natural forms of the lake and its surrounds.
